A Football season is one of the more expensive sports. To offer a little more insight into the season and costs –  this year I’m providing a breakdown of the funding categories

  • 15 %  This portion goes towards the fees associated with sports insurance, registration and CSA costs
  • 25 %  This portion goes towards our league costs with League Dues, Practice Field Permit Fees and Games Day Field Permit Fees July-October including 8 games within the league.
  • 25 %  This portion goes towards our league official referee costs for the 8+ games.
  • 35 %  This portion goes towards Game Equipment  (needs vary by year but past examples include Game Jerseys, Game Pants, Game Socks, Shoulder Pads, & other Equipment).

Game Equipment varys by year but the registration costs include replacing a subset of equipment each year.  Other Equipment includes : footballs, shoulder pads, first aid equipment, Helmets, Tackling equipment, Field markers, light rental for night practice, team shirts, coaching shirts, costs associated with Homecoming celebration, costs associated with End of Year celebrations.   These items are why our fundraiser Punt Pass Kick is so vital to our program and why we want to continue this and as well as other fundraisers to help offset these costs associated with a football season.

Our organization is completely volunteer based – and we can’t do it all without our volunteers!  Please be sure to indicate in your registration if you are interested in volunteering for game day set/up coordination, other volunteer activities, equipment distribution , equipment collection, concession stand , or fundraising activities.

Interested in participating as a CSA coach or team mom/dad ?  Please email clarksburgfootball@gmail.com  for questions and for a breakdown of details on what volunteering entails.
